Sweet Cupcakes

Design:

A paper-pieced design made to resemble 25 cupcakes (5 x 5) with chocolate ganache and a red glacier cherry appliquéd on top.

The drips of the ganache change in number and size for each cupcake.

The cupcake cases each have 4 segments, alternating between strips of plain fabric and polka-dot fabric, both in the same colour.

Colours:

There are 5 different coloured cupcake cases - yellow, green, blue, purple and pink. Each colour is randomly dispersed throughout the quilt.

The cupcakes are on a white base with silver stars and are surrounded by a bright red border.

Pattern:

Modified "Cupcake Quilt Block" by Harts Fabric.

Type:

Paper-pieced with appliqué.

Quilting:

An all-over swirl or 'cooking-themed' design done in white cotton thread.

Size:

Adult Knee Rug (1.5 m x 1.5 m).

Materials: 

Made with 100% cotton fabrics and wadding.

Maintenance:

Washing machine- and dryer-friendly.
